Give them some kind of a plant that they can keep in cl and take care of. An ivy would be nice, because students can take cuttings, let them develop roots, and then take the cuttings home. You can print a set of instructions for care and propagation. It would be a good learning experience, and every student would eventually get something to take home and remember you by.
