Do you think a roughly toroidal shaped planet is possible?

Considering there are possibly trillions of planets in the universe of all shapes and sizes; could a turbulent swirling eddy of primeval planet-making debris coalesce into a wheel shaped rocky planet by orbiting a central body which is later removed by asteroid impact? Or could a planet at the stage of forming have its centre pierced through by a large impacting asteroid? Do you have a possible odd shaped planet in mind, differing from the common spherical and spheroidal kinds?
