I am so sad, what can I do to help?

My cat, Trooper, is very old and he gets traumatized, so, one morning he was acting funny. So, my mom took a look at him and his eye was bleeding on the inside (i think i was at school). My mom took him to the vet and they had to take his blood pressure (because it was to high). They gave us some pills and ointment to put in his eye. So. now there is so much blood it looks completely black, I rolled my ankle so I can't get up very much, but I do have crutches now. What should I do to help him? He was my very first pet and He is older than I am (he was here when I came home for the very first time, after I was born). So, now I am terribly worried for him, what should I do?
